Kate received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2006. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas. Kate began her therapy career working at St David’s Rehabilitation Hospital in 2006. In 2008, she started working in orthopedic/sports rehab at Sports Center in Austin. She discovered her love for pediatrics in 2010 and has gained experience with working with children of varied diagnosis including muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, autism, hypotonia, gait dysfunction, orthopedic disorders/injuries, Down’s syndrome and torticollis. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council of Exercise and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She enjoys time with friends, exercising, travelling, Longhorn football and volunteering at the Austin Humane Society as a “cat socializer”.
